- This final report is to explain about the process of the Conventional Archives Preservation in Badan Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah Provinsi DKI Jakara. The selection of the conventional archives is because the conventional paper-based records are more susceptible to damage than audio-visual archives, so if no preservation activities will be susceptible to damage from internal and external factors. In addition the volume of records created more than the conventional audio-visual archives. Care and maintenance of conventional archive needs to be done to avoid damage. To collected data, the writer using three methods, that is with literature review, participant observation and interviews. An activity book study gathered information from books, modules and articles. To support the existing theories in the literature required activity of participants observation. This activity is a direct observation at the time of filing of conventional preservation activities at the Library and Archives of Jakarta Provincial. If the required information is still lacking, the last method is an interview with a source associated with the conventional archival preservation activities. The conclusion of this final report is, a whole maintenance process in the conventional archive environment is good if it looks from the infrastructure and security system with CCTV that installed in the store room and equipped with a data center as the controlling center, protection of fire with Fire Suppression System NN100 Fire Alarm System, temperature & humidity control assisted with AHU machine and Chiller machine, and health & safety work with the use of uniform field by personnel and health checks once every 1 month in Badan Perpustakaan dan Arsip Daerah Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Maintenance of a conventional store archives in a way re-box conducted earlier of this year.
