- Grebeg Maulud ceremony has philosophical values close to the society. Values philosophy were evident in Grebeg Maulud ceremony because relates to the history Grebeg Maulud and the spread of Islam in Java. Max Scheler value hierarchy is appropriate to discuss this Grebeg Maulud ceremony. Researchers wanted to examine more deeply about the philosophical values Grebeg Maulud ceremony. The problem in this study is: to review the history and tradition of the procession Grebeg Maulud Surakarta palace, the value of diversity in axiology by Max Scheler, and the values contained in the ceremony commemorating the Grebeg Maulud Surakarta palace. This research is a library research. The data are taken from library research which consists of primary and secondary sources. Research analysis with methodical step interpretation, descriptive, internal coherence, holistic, and hermeneutic. The results of this research are first, the value of pleasure or enjoyment value and not pleasure isvalues in which there is entertainment value that makes people entertained with this Grebeg Mulud ceremony. Second, vitality value also contained in the meaning of life itself mountains which started life course birth and death in humans. In addition, there is a vitality in the value of moral values, social, economic and entertainment. Spiritual values shown in the beauty contained in lanang mountains and wadon mountains. Last, religious values contained in the gemelan in the ring with gending or Islamic song that has a Syahadat Rasul and Syahadat Tauhid meaning. Grebeg Maulud ceremony is a ceremony and tradition which is believed in the public of life.
