- The usage of Sistem Informasi Deformasi Bendungan Sermo has increased.With the variety of hardware used, it makes the system maintenance more difficult. Because of the rapid increasing workload, modern server application needs a better computing. The consequence is it will cost more with more complex management. Therefore, server consolidation is needed to optimize the performance of multiple servers. By adjusting the physical and system requirement, this research offered a consolidation solution using Proxmox Virtual Environment (VE) Platform for server virtualization. Beside that, this solution will compare the performance of CPU and RAM resources on the physical hardware and virtual machine hardware, and test the speed of virtual system recovery. The result of this research show the difference of CPU usage between virtual server and physical server is 0,25% and difference of RAM usage is 232.25 MB. While the system recovery using virtual machine method takes 53 minutes 29 seconds compared with conventional method that takes 1 hour 51 minutes 10 seconds. So, the virtualization server became a solution to replace the complex need of physical servers into more manageable virtual server.
