  • The lakon Antaséna Rabi of Ki Anom Suroto is a javanese performance of wayang kulit purwa that close with puppetry pakÃam elements. It is a rare performance in this day. The Antaséna Rabi of Ki Anom Suroto has also the aesthetic values that need to be studied comprehensively. The Lakon Antaséna Rabi tells about Arjuna who accepts five marriage proposals of Lesmana, Samba, Wisatha, Purwaganti, and Antasena at once for his daughter, Manuwati. Antasena doesn't wholeheartedly want to marry her, but he is the one who finally married. This odd incident has compelling reason in accordance with wayang's logic. The structural approach of West dramaturgy of Kernodle is used in this research. It is in accordance with garap pakeliran of javanese wayang kulit purwa. The aesthetic approach of puppetry is also used. The good art performance obviously has sublime messages. The messages was dug from javanese philosophy of life, and others. There are some conclusion by these approaches. First: generally, the structure of this lakon is close with puppetry pakem. Second: the plot is influenced by structure of lakon, dramatic, and texture. The three aspects of lakon influence the dramatic level. Third: Antasena and Manuwati are destined to be married by the war contest as rite of Tantrik from the Siwa's aspect, and the other myths. Fourth: the Lakon Antasena Rabi of Ki Anom Suroto was able to present the aesthetic impressions like: rÃagu, ngÃas, rÃanggÃap, antawacana, cucut, unggah-ungguh, tutuk, trampil. Fifth: the messages and attitudes in this lakon as character education are: spirituality, harmonious, respectful, mikul dhuwur mÃandhÃam jÃaro, entertainment, independent, democratic, cherish the achievement, and responsibility.
