  • The government actively promotes food diversification program in order to reduce societyâ��s dependency on rice consumption. Cassava is high carbohydrate root crops which can be used as a substitute of rice. Mi iris as a local food product from Kecamatan Pundong with cassava flour as the raw material has a potential to develop as a food diversification product. In order to compete this local product must have some value added. Therefore product development of added carrot mi iris was done. This research used Value Engineering method based on Kansei Engineering concept. This method consists of five stages : 1) Information stage to collected and process Kansei word in order to identified quality attributes based on consumerâ��s needs
