- Kyai Langgeng Park is the main tourist destination in Municipility of Magelang. Many attractions and facilities of Kyai Langgeng Park are expected to be one of the educational tourist objects and environmental preservation visited by tourists. To achieve that goal, it is necessary to develop the existing tourist attractions in the Kyai Langgeng Park. So far, the existing tourist attractions in the tourist object are less suitable with the characteristics of the visiting tourists. A lot of tourist attractions cannot be enjoyed by all visitors, so the motivation or the expectation of the tourists are not met. Therefore, a research on the characteristics andmotivations needs to conduct inorder todevelop the tourist attractions. In this study, the author used the mix-method which combined quantitative and qualitative research.Quantitative method was used to determine the number of respondentsas the sample, whilethe qualitative research methodwasused to describe the existing data so that it can beeasily understood. The results of studysuggests that the mainly segment and target market of Kyai Langgeng Parkare students. Todevelopthe tourist attractions,it is necessary to use the attractive concept ofeducational tours without decreasing the educational existing. The development of these attractions can be started by adding game facilities containingeducational elements andplaquesdescriptionson the rare plants and animals, as well asmaking a tourist package to accommodate the needs of tourists during theirvisit.
