- The objective of this thesis is to understand the application ofrebus sic stantibus principle associated to pacta sunt servanda on agreement binding for sale and purchase of agricultural heavy equipment within fluctuation of Indonesia Rupiah exchangerate. Another objective is to identify PT Altrak 1978�s accomplishment towards cancelation of purchased in agricultural heavy equipments. The study implements empirical normative research method. Field exploration necessitated for primary data. Acts and principles of law conserved for secondary data. Both primary and secondary data are performed qualitatively. In order to make descriptive conclusion method, this research requires to reveal the phenomenon entirely and contextually by the background of the explored study, additionally this research illuminates legal norms, legislations, and field research results. The result of this research is in case fluctuation of Indonesia rupiahexchange rate, some PT Altrak 1978 branch offices renegotiating the bill based on joint agreement. According to the renegotiating, the Indonesia rupiah rate is not exactly the same with the rate of US Dollar, but obtained the approval from centraloffice�s Chart of Authority. Although central office expects the application of pacta sunt servanda principle, some branch offices, nevertheless renegotiating to maintain good liaison along with Agricultural Heavy Equipment Rental Companies, as approval of rebus sic stantibus principles application. PT Altrak 1978�s accomplishment towards the cancelation of purchase in agricultural heavy equipments is by offering another consumer in lower price. If it is not sold yet, it would be sold to another companies belong to PT Central Cipta Murdaya (CCM Group) that runs their business in agriculture field.
