- Open channel is a channel that most wi dely met at the environment ei ther natural or artificial. Artificial open channel for example a di tches and an irri gat i on channel while the natural channel is the river. An open channel has varied geometric shapes, can consist of a straight channel or a curved channel. Some way can be conducted to simulate flow in curved channel are by making a model in a laboratory or by numer ical modeling with SSIIMWIN (Simulation of Sediment Movement In Water Intakes With the Multiblock Option for Windows). This study is making a numer ic model of a 180° curved channel with 1.25 m of radius, sediment on the channel�s bed and a width of 0.5 m. A simulation of a numer ic model conducted by trial and error the value of Roughness Strickler Ks , until the result is equal or close with physical model�s result. Results of this study showed Ks value that most accurate is worth Ks = 60. Flow pattern that is formed based on the simulation of SSIIMWIN for 30°, 60°, 90°, 120°, 150° dan 180° cross section, for both flat-bed or eroded-bed to form vortex that leads from the outer side of the channel�s radius to the inner side (clockwise). The largest velocity distribution occurred at 0° and 180° cross section
