- This research was intended to study responsibility of notary after dishonorable termination over deed he made during his position and to study responsibility time limit of notary terminated honorably over his deed he made in perspective of Article 65 of Law on Notary Position. This was normative empirical research using secondary data and primary data through literary study and field study. Secondary data come from primary, secondary and tertiary law material. Field study was done in Sleman regency with subject of MPD head and seven notaries. Secondary data was obtained by documentation method over documents, while primary data was obtained through interview with structured interview guide. Data was analyzed qualitatively and presented descriptively. The result indicate that notary terminated dishonorably has still responsibility of deed he made and the responsibility will appear when there is damaged party submitting legal suit. According to article 84 of law non notary position, notary may only be asked responsibility in civil matter. However, actually it is possible for notary doing violation in process of making deed can be given with criminal sanction. Responsibility of notary deed he made has time limitation until his death. For notary terminated dishonorably with three years of amnesty may be asked for responsibility in form of cost replacement, condemnation and interest for guardian of the notary. Notary is recommended to doing their position to hold firmly the guidance of Law on notary position. In addition, supervisory council and INI still give supervisory and guiding to notary and if there is violence by notary the institutions may give sanction to keep notary professionalism.
