- The aims of the research were to analyse the farmers perception of black head Ettawa crossbred goat in Kaligesing and the factors wich influenced farmers perception of black head Etawa goat in Kaligesing. This research tool used questionnaires and survey methods used in this study. Data were collected by distributing 100 questionnaires with interviewed to 100 respondents into 3 different strata areas, the areas is Pandanrejo (upland Kaligesing), Tlogoguo (center Kaligesing), Kaligono (lowland Kaligesing). The farmers perception of black head Ettawa crossbred goat in Kaligesing achieved 68% that means black head Ettawa crossbred goat preffered by farmers in Kaligesing. The analysis results age was significant (P<0,05) and the coeficient regression was -0,489, experience was very significant (P<0,01), the coefficient regression of experience was 0,786, income was significant (P<0,05) the coefficient regression of income was 0,005, gender was significant (P<0,05) and the coefficient regression of gender was 6,827, education was not significant (sig > α (0,05)). Age, experience, income and gender was factors influenced farmers perception of black head Ettawa crossbred goat in Kaligesing and education was not influenced farmers perception of black head Ettawa crossbred goat in Kaligesing. Age had negative coefficient regression that means age had negative relationship with farmers perception in Kaligesing, more higher age the farmers perception are getting down. Experience, income and gender had positive relationship that means more higher experience and income the perception would increase. If the farmers had male sex the perception would increase. The results which were obtained indicating RÂ2 of equation Y=80,952-0,489X1- 0,576X2+0,786X3+0,005X4+0,005X5 was 0,244 that means 28,2% farmers perception could be explained by respondent characteristics (age, experience, income, education, gender) and 71,8% explained by other factors beyond this study.
