- Liver cirrhosis is a disease defined by extensive fibrosis associated with the formation of regenerative nodules and generally irreversible at advanced stages. Non-invasive examination become the top choice in liver examination in recent years since some serum markers and imaging methods have been shown to correlate well with liver fibrosis and tend to replace liver biopsy. Lok index is a predictive model based on a standard laboratory values that routinely available in patients with hepatitis, the number of platelets, the ratio of AST / ALT, and INR. There is currently no data showing a correlation between plasma fibrinogen levels and score index in patients with cirrhosis. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between plasma fibrinogen levels and score lok index in patients with cirrhosis. The study design was cross-sectional. Sampling was done by consecutive sampling. The subjects of this study were patients with liver cirrhosis who visited the clinic or admitted to the Internal Medicine Department of Internal Medicine Hospital RSUP Dr. Sardjito in Agustus 2013 until Januari 2014 that met inclusion and exclusion criteria. Correlation between plasma fibrinogen levels and graded index score lok statistical correlation test. There were 43 subjects that met criterias, 27 males and 16 females, age average was 55,1 + 13, 56. Cause of cirrhosis 50 % was viral hepatitis B infection. Mean of plasma fibrinogen was 224 + 139,95 mg / dL, meanwhile Lok Index score mean was 0,80±0,23. Spearmen�s correlation coefficients between fibrinogen and Lok Index score was r = -0,675 (p = 0,000). In conclusion, there was negative correlation between plasma fibrinogen and lok index score in liver cirrhosis patients
