- The duty this final obtained inspiration to fix gantry cranes and performing calculations buckling and bending as a means of practicing the science which has been taught in a Diploma Program of Mechanical Engineering of Gadjah Mada University. There are two stages in making this thesis. The first is to improve crane to fix bad welds, painting, and adding wheels as mobilization. The second, calculates the critical load on the plate wheels of gantry crane without any buckling and bending. The result analysis and calculations about buckling and bending of gantry crane can be concluced that capable of being raised the maximum gantry cranes plate wheels without an buckling 8292,4 kg raised the maximum gantry cranes plate wheels without an bending 895,15 kg.
