- The phenomena of domestic violence cases in Yogyakarta each year has increased and the impact experienced by victims of domestic violence is the background of this research are generally victims who have experienced and witnessed domestic violence in the family will commit crimes as a result of family circumstances that can not provide warmth and affection enough. In the settlement of the problem of domestic violence Karya Wanita Social Institution work as a technical implementation unit office in providing services empowerment, welfare and social rehabilitation for socially vulnerable women psychologically. This study seeks to explain how the effectiveness of programs to empower women victims of domestic violence in PSKW. The main theory used in this study was the effectiveness of the program and the theory of CIPP (contex, input , product, procces). This study used a descriptive qualitative research method of analysis. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. In this study it can be concluded that the victims of domestic violence are fostered in social institutions by looking at three aspects of resources, motivation and communication. Given the empowerment of Women in Children's Social Work Yogyakarta inmates felt he could feel his confidence rebounded. Circumstances of inmates who are no longer experiencing domestic violence to make their self-concept has a chance to evolve into a more positive direction either. Supposed victims who have experienced domestic violence increase knowledge and engage in activities to develop their potential through skills. Parents are also advised to actively reduce contention. People who know a family with domestic violence should contact the police or relevant social institutions and provide support for victims of domestic violence and provide treatment to the perpetrators of such violence.
