- The research aims to determine perception of agricultural students toward profession of agricultural extension worker, both in terms proffession of extension worker and in terms agricultural extension workers that runs profession, determining the factors that affect perception of agricultural students toward profession of agricultural extension worker and determining the effect through agricultural students' perception together with other factors toward students� interest in choosing profession as an agricultural extension worker. Descriptive analysis by survey approach for quantitative method was applied in this research. Sampling was done by using simple random sampling. There were 75 agricultural students interviewed consisting of 25 agricultural students in UGM, 25 agricultural students in UMY and 25 agricultural students in UPN. The proportion test and multiple linear regression analysis were used for the analysis method due to this research. The research results showed that 97.33 % of total sample have good perception through the profession of agricultural extension worker and 69.33 % of total sample have good perception through the agricultural extension worker that runs profession. The knowledge positively affect to perception of agricultural students toward profession of agricultural extension worker and other factors such as experience, family background, resident and students� interest on extension course did not affect significantly. The students� interest on extension course positively affectt students' interest in choosing a profession as agricultural extension worker and other factors such as agricultural students' perception, knowledge, experience, family background and residents did not affect on students' interest in choosing profession as an agricultural extension worker.
