- Programmable Logic Controller ( PLC ) is a series consisting of processor and input / output devices that are used for specific purposes , usually used as a tool for the automatic control of the use of high electric current in the industry and factories . In this final project PLC is used to create , analyze and test the PLC program in a freight elevator control system so that the three- floor elevator can be operated in accordance with the design . Lift program is written in the form of control logic ladder diagram by taking into account the safety factor . Software programs are used in the manufacture of CX - Programmer . This program is made in several sections in order to facilitate the monitoring and repair in case of damage . Section - the section which section the main program , the memory section relay , buzzer section , emergency buzzer section , and output section . The advantages of PLC -based freight elevator with other goods lift crane that can come out of the lift automatically , so the user is more easily insert or remove items
