- The purpose of this research is analyzing cointegration and causality between economic growth, export and comparative advantage of manufacturing sector of Indonesia in ASEAN region. In this research, variables that have been analyzed are economic growth, export and comparative advantage of manufacturing sector. Using quantitative data of five ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapura, Thailand dan Filipina) from the World Bank, the research carried out through the use of Johansen�s Cointegration Test and Granger�s Causality Test. Both of this analysis tool was conducted to identify the cointegration and causal relationship between economic growth, export and comparative advantage of manufacturing sector. Results showed that five ASEAN countries experienced cointegration on all of the variables except Thailand. However, the long-run causality between the variables only happened significantly in Philippines. On the other hand, short-run causality have been experienced by five ASEAN countries included Indonesia.
