  • Magnetically modified zeolite has been prepared using coprecipitation method and used as an adsorbent of Zn(II). Two grams of activated zeolite was added into Fe3+ and Fe2+ solution with concentration of 0.1 M and 0.05 M, respectively. Furthermore the mixture was stirred for 1 minute at 85 °C, then 1.3 M NH4OH was added dropwise until pH 11. The precipitate was filtered, washed by HCl 10-4 M until pH neutral, and dried at 100 °C for ± 2,5 hours, then characterized by XRD and FTIR. The same procedure was also carried out for understanding the influenced of Fe3+/Fe2+ molar ratio and performed under 1:2 and 1:1 variations
