- Indonesia is one of the country in the word that has very high volcanic and tectonic activities. It is because Indonesia is located at the intersection of some tectonic plates such as, Eurasiain Plate, Indo-Australian Plate, Pacific Plate, and Philipine Plate. The subduction that is happen between Indo-Australian Plate and Eurasian Plate beneath Sumatra and Java made Indonesia prone to earthquakes. Earthquakes that are scattered in the area of Sumatra and Java can be used to analyze and evaluate the tectonic subduction that occurs. The data used in this study is the earthquake data from 1970 to 2013. Based on the earthquake data, development of the subduction angle can be modeled and analyzed. To analyze its development, the earthquake data is divided into 12 group of data from south to north. Subduction model of tectonic plates was made based on the earthquake data group, so the subduction angle and developments can be analyzed. The subduction angle increase as the subduction goes deepen, and the increases is bigger in the south area.
