  • Area amine regenerator in natural gas purification plant is used to separate water content of the amine solution. In the natural gas purification industry, this process is called a solution of amine regeneration process. This regeneration process produces amine-free solution of a water content that is lean amine. Once clean from the water content, then lean amine solution is used again to absorb the acid gas content of natural gas (sour gas) in the absorber tower. Process equipment to support this process in the area of amine regenerator consisting of amine regenerator tower, amine reboiler, lean amine solvent booster pump and the lean / rich exchanger. All process equipments are working to form an integrated system in order to regenerate the liquid amine that can be reused for acid gas absorption process of sour gas in the absorber tower. The purpose of this study is to design automation systems in the area of amine regenerator in natural gas purification process. The study began with an analysis of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) that already existed, then proceed to design Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), the loop-sheet diagrams, instrument spesification sheet, Functional diagram, architecture automation system based on DCS (Distributed Control System), Human Machine Interface (HMI), the simulation program (loop test function). The results of this research is the design of P&IDs, loop-sheet diagrams, Functional diagram of the ISA standard document refers to S5.1, system architecture, instrument spesification sheet, HMI design, simulation programs (loop test function).
