  • Remote sensing is growing especially in term of spatial resolution. Orthophoto is widely used because it has the high spatial resolution and correction to reduce the relief displacement aspect. The development is not only happened in passive remote sensing system but also in the active remote sensing system which contribute in remote sensing researches. Airborne Laser Scanning (ALS) system produces LiDAR data as the detail data which can provide highly accurate information about an object height. The objectives of the research are to extract building geometry (building area and its height), to know the accuracy and extraction method, and to estimate floor amount from extracted building geometry data. The primary step was interpretation to identify building types and roof types from Ortho-photo aerial imagery. Building area extraction was done by calculating the roof area. Roof area was corrected into building area from field survey analysis based on the type of the roof. Then, building height extraction was done by calculating the maximum number of building height from N-DSM which was gathered from the calculation of LiDAR DSM and DTM. Its height number was corrected by using the height of roof object based on its roof types. Building height extraction was used to estimate the number of floors of building. The results of test calculations mapping accuracy using field measurement data showed that the number of building area extraction accuracy was 92.02% and the number of building height extraction accuracy was 86.63%.
