- Macrobenthos has a role in material cycle through the detrivory (user organic particles). Macrobenthos has an important role as decomposer and bioaccumulator sensitive to changes in water quality and a life one that will affect the diversity and density. This decomposition process is important for tropical cycles and indicators of environmental changes. This study aims at determining vegetation composition, at determining the species diversity macrobenthos, at determining of physical factors chemical water, and determine of physical factors chemical diversity macrobenthos waters with the second year of planting. This study was conducted in Area Mangrove Rehabilitation, Pasar Banggi, Rembang, Central Java. Data collection was carried out in 2001 covering an area of 0,17 ha of planting and those of in an area of 0,16 ha in 2005 with the creation of a systematic plot size of 5 m x 5 m. each plot was done collecting data included the number and type of vegetation and physical factors chemical water include: salinity, dissolved oxygen, pH, and temperature. Macrobenthos sampling conducted in plots 5 m x 5 m with a diameter of 10 cm using a plastic gutter and a height of 20 cm is then filtered using a sieve size of 1 mm x 1 mm. The data calculated vegetation species composition and diversity of macrobenthos authors calculated using the Shannon Index Wienner, and analyzed using the t test. Result showed that the macrobenthos diversity in 2001 is 1,38, while for 2005 macrobenthos diversity of 1,06. Result of macrobenthos species diversity at both plants are in the medium category. Contituent species composition of vegetation planted in 2001 and 2005 was predominantly Rhizophora mucronata. The result of t test analysis showed that the diversity of macrobenthos, density of macrobenthos, and salinity have a real difference between those of in the 2001 and 2005 cropping year. Keywords: macrobenthos, diversity, t - test
