- Hypertension is a disease that affects many people of Indonesia . Where the treatment is long-term treatment , so it is feared could cause side effects . The rise of the issue of Back to Nature encouraging people to switch to using ingredients derived from plants . But many of those who still feel troublesome herb use , the authors had the idea to make a dry extract of a mixture of herbs that lower blood pressure , cats whiskers cover leaf , celery , gotu kola , meniran , ginger and turmeric so it would be more practical to use , on the other hand manufacture of dry extract also aims to preserve the material , due to be made into a dry extract moisture content will be reduced and microbes are not easy to grow . Extract disari infundasi manner but not feared compounds tersari by distilled water . The dry extract itself can be put into capsules to be more practical preparations , but there are fears of the magnitude of the required amount of dry extract in doses of one drink , so it needs to be done to reduce the weight of the extract purification required doses at a time. For the manufacture of dry extract , it is first necessary to collecting material , and then identified the truth . Once it is done in a way of making condensed extract of the leaves cat whiskers infundasi , celery , gotu kola , meniran , while ginger and turmeric made by pressing, then retrieved sediment . After that is done by means of TLC qualitative analysis , quantitative analysis by means of spectrophotometry and densitometry , drying shrinkage test and extract purification , as well as quantitative analysis of the purified extract . The result showed that the active compounds ( flavonoids and compounds are suspected asiatikosida ) may be taken in the water extracts , the levels of total flavonoids contained in the extracts of the mixture showed a larger value than the levels in a single extract of cat's whiskers , gotu kola , celery and meniran , otherwise curcumin content in the mixture is smaller than in the single turmeric and ginger . Purification quite effective in reducing the weight of extract required doses at a time.
