  • The salespersonâ��s engagement in selling the product/ service from his company could be result in the improvement of the salesperson performance himself and also the company. The improvement and the successful of salesperson performance will always attempted by every company in managing the factors that assume can effects it. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of emotional intelligence and corporate reputation to the improvement of salespersonâ��s performance by mediating of work engagement. The participants of this research were 335 salespersons from several companies that produce services. The critea of participants attempted was the salesperson who had been working more than three months on sales field and also from all job level. The data collected by distribute randomly the questionnaries that consist of the emotional intelligence scale, corporate reputation scale, work engagement scale, and also salespersonâ��s performance scale. The data then computed by using Amos verse 18 with analyzing technique of structural equation model (SEM) to examine the relationship and the effects of independent variable to the dependent variable by the presence of mediator variable. The result of this research was that the work engagement didnâ��t mediating the improvement relationship between emotional intelligence and corporate reputation to salesperson performance, but emotional intelligence and corporate reputation effect the performance directly.
