Daftar Isi:
- The growth of coal market has been increasing significantly in last four years at Kertapati coal port and demanded to be anticipated immediately through increasing of handling capacity of service. The terminal capacity is dependent by all components which is involved in movement of coal in terminal, in other words the performances at each stage of handling process will affect to overall performances of terminal. Implementation new strategies of coal handling will trigger increasing of handling capacity. The new strategy could be as adding number of wheel loader as existing equipment or performing different equipment. Based on field survey data, it seems that movement of coal from stockpile onto belt conveyor is displayed with low capacity and high handling time. By collecting handling time data using stopwatch and converting into total mass of transferred coal, the handling capacity and time of existing equipment could be defined. Three option strategies: adding number of wheel loader, replacing wheel loader by stacker reclaimer and providing barge are possibilities strategies to enhance performance. Technical, financial and management aspect are used as considerations for analysis. The analysis utilizes Multi Criteria Analysis to find the best option could be implemented. The result shows that implementation stacker reclaimer will give positive impact for Kertapati coal port seen from handling capability, management and financial perspective. Handling capability increase three times compare to existing equipment. It has only one year for payback period..
