- The objective of this research was to determine the effect of dietary organic zinc (Zn) supplementation on performance of laying quail. Organic zinc was added in the diet on the percentage of 0, 1, 3, and 5% of vitamin mineral premix. Two hundred and eighty-eight Japanese quails were randomly plotted into four treatments with four replications and18 birds per replication. This research was done for 56 days. The performance variables collected in this study were egg production, egg weight, feed consumption, and feed conversion ratio. The data obtained were statistically analyzed by One Way ANOVA. The research showed that supplementation of organic zinc had no effect on the egg production, egg weight, feed consumption, and feed conversion ratio. It can be concluded that supplementation of 0, 1, 3, 5 % organic zinc in the diet did not affect performance of laying quails.
