- This research management pattern that it portrays held by Direct Assistance Unit Small and Medium Enterprises (UPL-IKM) in Sleman Regency. Writer selects a UPL-IKM Sleman Regency to location or because UPL-IKM is still running well among some UPL-IKM in other Regency / town of Statistic Centre of Central Java Province in Yogyakarta and among the many UPL-IKM in Indonesia, which has been does not work. Informant or is the administrators UPL-IKM Sleman Regency and two people made of businessmen being nurtured by UPL IKM. This Research saw management pattern UPL-IKM Sleman Regency from several side, the internal UPL-IKM, environmental authorities that tie and the performance of UPL-IKM. Design this research is descriptive qualitative research and technical data collection through visits to UPL-IKM Sleman Regency Office in Sleman Regency Perindagkop as well as to two IKM being nurtured by UPL-IKM. Data was collected during the observation and interview in-depth with the informant. Data Processing will be done through the description, the selection, reducing, verification and conclusion. The Study describes management pattern UPL-IKM Sleman Regency as follows: internal management has been able to run most basis and management function well supported by status of the personnel UPL-IKM who came from and educational background PFPP industrial engineering/management, but on the other side, environmental authority that binds less than giving a support so performance UPL-IKM Sleman Regency not fully carried out. Next, in performance evaluation, the company obtained a IKM showed good performance, but the other IKM shows that less than good. Good-poor performance was turned out to be very influenced by the acceptance of the owner inputs IKM against a given UPL-IKM Sleman Regency. Because of that, recommendations that raised to findings is that environmental authority that binds to maximize its support in improving the shortcomings, and then to the management of UPL-IKM in other areas, internal management that had been implemented by UPL-IKM Sleman District can be made as an example in managing UPL-IKM him, in addition, status as PFPP and background of education management/industry a crucial factor is that must be considered by the decision-makers in improving and set the administrators UPL- IKM, that has to be done by evaluation to determine factors causing the response IKM different input to a given UPL-IKM to the IKM can to improve the performance of UPL-IKM.
