- Diclofenac sodium is a Non- Steroidal Anti- inflammatory Drugs ( NSAID ) commonly used as a drug for rheumatoid arthritis or diseases commonly called rheumatism (rheumatic) as a pain reliever. The drug is expected to have a rapid onset. In addition, these rheumatic diseases common in geriatrics . For that, an easy way of consumption in this preparation is needed. Drug dosage form of diclofenac sodium with fast disintegrating tablet (FDT) is expected to reduce the existing problems, for the optimization of diclofenac sodium FDT formula required. Formula used for optimization with a combination of two variations superdisintegrant, Ac-Di- Sol® and SSG, ie F1 (0:8 mg), F2 (2:6 mg), F3 (4:4 mg), F4 (6:2 mg), dam F5 (8:0 mg). Making tablets using direct clamp method. The data obtained from testing the physical properties of tablets prepared with the program Design Expert® version 8.0.7.1. the method of simplex lattice design. The results obtained showed that the combination of the two superdisintegrant that produce optimum physical properties requires a combination of 5,104 mg of Ac - Di - Sol ® and 2.896 mg of SSG on tablets with a weight of 150 mg . This formula produces tablets with physical properties fragility response of 0.58 %
