- KRB Merapi is an area that has a high degree of vulnerability to the potential threat of life, well-being of the population and assets in the event of Merapi volcanic eruption. This study aims to determine the index of agricultural land capacity (DDL) and the spreading pattern of agricultural land after Merapi volcanic eruption. The method used in this study is quantitative analysis of secondary data and spatial descriptive. The index of agricultural land capacity was calculated using the formula of Odum-Howard-Isaard by agricultural productivity approach which its classification based on standard of decent living. The results of this study showed that KRB Merapi which consists of 89 villages with total population of 476.718 lives and agricultural area of 20.911,6 hectares have carrying capacity index prior to the Merapi eruption of 1,255 with degree of decrease 35% to 0,813 after eruption. KRB Merapi classified as DDL grade III. The distribution pattern of DDL classification is radially following the volcano eruption material flow.
