  • The population of the city is growing and with a high mobility is one of the causes of jams on various roads today. One of the efforts made to reduce jams that occurs for example by applying a traffic light control system integrated. Currently the traffic lights which are applied to the determination duration of the red lights, yellow or green. This setting applies throughout the day, while the amount of traffic is not the same every time, so we need a system that can control the duration of traffic lights that can be adjusted by the number density of vehicles occurs. In this tool to make a traffic light control system based on the detection of how many vehicles queuing lane sector in using infrared sensors. This device consists of an infrared sensor, ATMega16, and photodiode. From the test results that this tool will change the duration of the green light in the event of the vehicle sector in track density.
