Daftar Isi:
- The cracking of JCO (Jatrhopa curcas oil) by the mixture of zeolit Y, HAlMCM- 41, and Ni/AlMCM-41 catalysts has been performed. The objective of this research was to examine the activity of zeolit Y, H-AlMCM-41, and Ni/AlMCM-41 catalysts in the cracking process to convert JCO into gasoline. AlMCM-41 with a mole ratio of Si/Al=50 was synthesized by hydrothermal method at 100 oC. The synthesizing of AlMCM-41 began by dissolving the template of CTAB (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide) in distilled water and then successively added with TMAOH (tetramethylammonium hydroxide), sodium silicate, and sodium aluminate. The next step is to remove the template by calcination at the temperature of 540 °C for 6 hours. AlMCM-41 was then analyzed by using XRD (X-Ray Diffraction), IR (Infrared Spectroscopy), and BET (Brunauer-Emmet-Teller). H-AlMCM-41 was prepared by soaking AlMCM- 41 in NH4Cl solution, and then calcined at 540 oC. Ni/AlMCM-41 was prepared by soaking AlMCM-41 in NiCl2 solution, and then reduced at the temperature of 450 oC. Then cracking process was carried out in a reactor at 400 °C with the mass rastio of JCO to catalyst was 1:200. Products of cracking were then analyzed with GC-MS (Gas Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry) method. Based on the analysis result, AlMCM-41 had 5.0378 nm of lattice parameter, of 964.7 m2/g of surface area, 0.588 cc/g ofpore volume, and 3.0 nm of pore diameter. The cracking of Jatropha oil with mixture of zeolite Y, HAlMCM- 41, and Ni/AlMCM-41, produced 49,84% selectivity to biogasoline like fraction.
