Daftar Isi:
- Yogyakarta City has grown into a dense residential area because of its uncoordinated land management so it disturbs the conservation areas such as riverbank areas. This condition contradicts with the applicable government regulation article number 2 of Section 56 of PP No. 26/ 2008 which stipulate that riverbank area is functioned as a local protected areas. The changes in land use functions at riverbank areas also occur in residential areas of Kampung Badran in Yogyakarta City which occupies most of area along the riverbank of Winongo causing some environmental problems. The main problems found in the area are high building density that reduces the availability of green open spaces, steep riverbank and landslide danger, and the abuse of land use function in the riverbank areas of Winongo. The objectives of the planning in the Riverbank Areas of Winongo Kampung Badran are to identify and to analyze the potency and the problems in the region and to develop a plan for Renewal of The Riverbank Areas of Winongo Kampung Badran through ecological city (green city) concept without losing its identity as a Kampung Kota. The planning method used was participatory planning by involving one element of the community, who are teenagers of Kampung Badran. Based on the potency and the problem, the plan proposed an integrated planning of green space as mitigation, proper residential areas and comfortably environmental planning, and the development of an environmentally cared community (green community). During the implementation of the plan, a few lessons can be learned from participatory planning process involving teenagers, such as the mechanism of focus group disscussion (FGD) meeting adapted to a community meeting schedule, the teenagers act as the plan proposer both through a direct discussions and social media, and the implementation of the focus group disscussion are not fully accordance with the existing theory.
