- Renewable and environmentally friendly electrical energy as the alternative that suit with the world needs of energy is definitely required. Solar cell as an environmentally friendly power plant become one perfect solution of the future. Solar cell mounted static or fixed are deficient in receiving sunlight. Maximum energy from the solar cell will be produced if the solar cell is always perpendicular to the direction of sunlight. In the making of this final assignment microcontroller ATMega32 is used as a system controller. LCD 16x2 as the data viewer. RTC circuit is used as the input data of the calculation to determine the position of sunrise - sunset, and photodiode sensors as detector of light source.This system works in two modes, the calculation mode and sensor mode. From the test results conclude that the appliance are working to follow the sun's movement with timing also photodiode sensor data input can work to set in servo motors to the upright position of the light source.
