  • Torture that happens to Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) in the receiving country becomes a crucial issue lately. In Singapore, many of Indonesian migrant workers, they work in the domestic area, experience such action done by the employer. Violence that happens to Indonesia Migrant Workers (TKI) in terms of physical, sexual, and physiological is common in they field of work. Indonesian migrant workers are Indonesia citizen who works in the other country. In this area, Singapore is one of the destinations for Indonesia Migrant workers. Meanwhile, problems arises, violence and torture becomes familiar among them. Further question would be, is there any protection either from Indonesia or Singapore? Is there any clear regulation to protect them? Those questions need to be answered soon, considered that the problems are spread simultaneously with the action. Using normative approach, suppose to answer those questions above. Through collected data from literature, law, and all regulations and supported by field research, so that clear description and comprehensive answer will be accomplished as the result. After a further research it may be conclude that the trigger for the violation that happen to Indonesia migrant workers in Singapore is the human resources themselves. The issues of violation and torture could be reduces if the trigger was reduces either. Incapable in term of work and language, difference of culture and way of life are the trigger of the violence happens among the employer and employee.
