- Walking is a simple act but it has an important role in transportation system. The sidewalk is space for pedestrian that supported by fixed facilities and moved facilities. This research took place in Ahmad Yani street in front of the Vredeburg Fort at Yogyakarta zero kilometer point area. This research was conducted to determine the characteristics of pedestrian including speed, flow, density and space and also measure the pedestrian level of service as an impact of sidewalk facilities. This research is using the manual methods of observation and USHCM analytical methods. The results of research on sidewalks facilities in Ahmad Yani street in front of the Vredeburg Fort at Yogyakarta zero kilometer point area are B and A for level of service without sidewalk facilities divided the top and bottom. And the level of service with sidewalk facilities are C and E.
