  • Nowadays, diversity is a requirement to be able to walk in a global world. Market demand of a new idea and innovation, will be one appearance of diversity. Therefore, Schlumberger develop a workforce diversity by recruiting and training employees who have a background in cultural differences. Therefore Schlumberger needs the presence of diversity management to bridge the differences between employee and to minimize conflict. Therefore this research was conducted to find out what did Schlumberger Balikpapan do to bridge the cultural differences so as not to cause a conflict and can be a competitive advantage for the company. The diversity management are examined using the concept of Public Relations according to Cutlip, using descriptive qualitative method. The results showed that diversity management is performed by Schlumberger Balikpapan through internal programs and also supported by the companyâ��s internal media. Training programs, and special events are the most effective ways in magaing diversity within the company.
