- Purpose of this study is to determine effect of volcanic ash in different proportions and different types species of earthworm to vermicompost quality in beef cattle feces. This study used feces of beef cattle and supporting materials such as sawdust and banana stems. Treatment arranged in a completely randomized design factorial pattern at the level of 95% is composed of two factors, namely the proportion of volcanic ash and earthworm species with respective two-time replication. Four groups of mixture of media with the addition of volcanic ash are mixture of media with the addition of 0% volcanic ash (A0), mixture of media with the addition of 1% volcanic ash (A1), mixture of media with the addition of 3% volcanic ash (A3) and mixture of media with the addition of 5% volcanic ash (A5). Studies types of worms are Lumbricus rubellus (CL) and Pheretima sp. (CP). Variables observed were variable physical, chemical, biological and mirobiologi. The results showed that the overall best vermicompost on treatment A0CL and worse result on treatment A5CP. Water content, C/N ratio, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium of A0CL are yaitu 66,48%
