  • Indonesia has problem in energy crisis, especially electrical energy. The crisis is happening not only in small towns but also in the capital city because high demand growth. Electricity become a basic needs of human life. This study was conducted to resolve the problem electric energy crisis by developing a small-size generators using permanent magnets Neodymium Ferrite Boron (NdFeB), which can be utilized as an alternative energy source by utilizing wind or micro-hydro energy. Generator, which is designed in this study, was Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (AFPMSG). It has low speed, with double rotor and single stator. This generator is deemed most appropriate because in addition to only requiring low speed, but also a relatively low manufacturing cost, lightweight construction, and a more compact form which can support better utilization of alternative energy such as PLTMh and PLTB. The test results obtained by that generator capable of generating electricity 50 Hz at 250 rpm and generates voltage of each phase R, S, and T, respectively is 18,25
