- Indonesia is a rich country which has been the centrepoint of recent economic developments. In the past decade there has been increase in investment from foreing investment companies. However, not all foreign investment companies are good. Some have tried to cheat the cutrrent Indonesian legal system and try to use dfferent methods to circumvent their way around the Indonesian investment law. This thesis will deal mainly on the types of methods used by foreign investment companies to meet this goal of circumventing the Indonesian investment law. This thesis will also describe in detail nominee agreement, structuring agreement, local shareholder agreement and franchise-like agreement.
