- Background: Hospital Pharmacy in Yogyakarta City Hospital has implemented a Management Information System. Evaluation of an information system aims to determine the actual condition of the implementation of an information system. This evaluation uses HOT-Fit Model to evaluate the relationship of the critical components in the information system that is, human, organizational, and technological suitability of such relations as determinants of the successful implementation of an information system. Objective: The general objective of this study was to evaluate the successful implementation of information systems on the availability of the drug, with a case study in the pharmaceutical unit of Yogyakarta City Hospital, by looking at the suitability of the relationship between human, organization and technology, and the net benefit of the pharmacy information system implementation. Methods: This study is a case study with a descriptive approach and uses qualitative and quantitative data. Case in this study is an information system in Hospital Pharmacy. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews and observations. Furthermore, the data were analyzed with descriptive qualitative and quantitative approaches. Results: 1) the human factor in the implementation of pharmacy information systems have not been integrated in the management of information systems within the existing pharmacy in hospitals and the data displayed is not valid, and not realtime. 2) In terms of organizational factors, the Hospital Management of Yogyakarta has provided training and has been providing IT units in the implementation of information systems in pharmacy management information system to ensure proper operation. 3) For the technology factor, found the lack of fit between the needs and expectations of users in information systems implementation in pharmacy. 4) Net benefit from implementing the pharmacy information system still does not meet the needs of users, so it is deemed not to increase the effectiveness of users and improve the performance particularly in the hospital pharmacy.
