- Pharmaceutical provision cost is a component of cost of service facilities in the rate of Medical Treatment Operative (MTO). Cost of pharmaceuticals currently uncertain magnitude in the rate MTO, MTO rates causing uncertainty that could hurt hospitals or patients. These circumstances have encouraged researcher to conduct research that analyze the cost of pharmaceutical provision on MTO in Saiful Anwar General Hospital. The research purpose to find out the cost of pharmaceutical provision on MTO and the influenced factors of MTO. The research was conducted by using descriptive and evaluative using retrospective data. Subjects were all patients with top 5 Major MTO (Debridement, C-section, Laparotomy, Appendictomy, and Herniatomy) and top 5 Minor MTO (Excision, Tracheostomy, Curretage, Circumcision and Extirpasi), from 1 January to 30 June 2008. The parameters of this research were the use of pharmaceutical provision cost on MTO in Operating Rooms. Based on the study of 1282 patients, the highest average cost of pharmaceutical provision in medical treatment operative was MTO Laparatomy is about Rp. 2.192.269 - Rp. 4.186.868 with median value Rp. 3.096.004, and the lowest average cost was MTO Extirpasi is about Rp. 267.700 - Rp. 707.040 with median value Rp. 500.302. The status of patients affected some of the costs including MTO Debridement, Sectio Caesar and Appendictomy. The length of MTO affected the cost of MTO Debridement and Herniatomy. Type of anesthetics used in MTO affected the cost of MTO Debridement, Extirpasion, Sectio Caesar, Appendictomy, and Herniatomy. The number of operator affected the cost of MTO Debridement, Extirpasion, Sectio Caesar, Excision, Tracheostomy and Herniatomy, meanwhile surgical procedure affected the cost of MTO Sectio Caesar and Appendictomy.
