- Simple suspension bridge for pedestrians is one solution to overcome the problem of crossing either people or goods . In order to save time , costs with good quality bridge , need published a detailed model of a suspension bridge and bridge various lengths that can be applied anywhere and anytime . So the time and cost to the design can be eliminated . This final project is a guideline in planning and detailing the type of side span suspension bridge with a free span of 80 meters with a suspension bridge class is class I. Girder construction in this final project a combination of wood and steel with no frame stiffeners in the girder system . Axial force used in the design detail binder hanger , and the inter connection of two girder is three times the axial force that occurs on the hanger , amounting to 18,000 N. Steel demand in this final project is 55.693 kg and 6,80 m3 of wood . The main cable requires a cable diameter of 30 mm with a length of 528 meters . The need for concrete and stone 150.24 m3 are used as anchor blocks and foundation blocks.
