- Maintenance of plant equipment may reduce the probability of function failure of the equipment and at the same time it will maintain the reliability and availability of the plant. Application of RCM for developing the effective maintenance task may increase the plant availability which leads the optimum plant operability The study was done to the methanol production unit which operated continuously. The methanol production unit is a part of methanol plant which produce methanol from natural gas feed. The methanol production unit is consist of three main subsystem
