- Background: Caring is giving a attention or a tribute to a man. Caring behavior of nurses in hospitals have an impact to the patient, so it can help the patient to get recovered. Nursing education is divided into two disciplines, they are academic discipline and professional discipline . Clinical learning in nursing is a vehicle that provides the opportunity for students to translate theoretical knowledge into learning . Ners internship students are students who are applying the knowledge acquired during the academic stage (S1) one of them in a caring behavior, could have led to have concern, responsibility, and performed sincerely . Objective: To identify association between clinical learning environmental perception and caring behavior of ners internship student PSIK faculty of medicine UGM. Material and methods: Subjects were ners internship students PSIK Faculty of Medicine UGM in the year 2012/2013. Total respondents are 61 people. Research tool used was a Clinical Learning Environment and Supervision (CLES) questionnaire to determine the clinical learning environment and Caring Behavior Inventory (CBI) questionnaire to determine the caring behavior. The primary data obtained from respondents who filled out a questionnaire. Statistical analysis technique used is the Pearson correlation test if the data normally distributed, if the data are not normally distributed then use the Spearman correlation test . Results: The most subscales for each clinical learning is positive perception. Leadership style subscale of head room has the most positive perception ( 98.53 % ). The most tendency of caring behavior of ners internship student PSIK Faculty of medicine UGM on the low category ( 41.0 % ). Only the ward atmosphere subscales ( p = 0.006 ) and the values of nursing in the room ( p = 0.004 ), which have a significant relationship with caring behavior of ners internship students PSIK faculty of medicine UGM . Conclusion: The clinical learning environmental perception which have a significant relationship with caring behavior of ners internship students PSIK faculty of medicine UGM is the ward atmosphere and the values of nursing in the room subscales.
