- This research paper is about external factors that support the development of Western classical music in Japan as seen from the large number of program in television, radio and other mass media, there are many of music groups like orchestras and brass bands and school of music or academy of music. This research paper uses a qualitative descriptive method. This method is used for the purpose of describing the data retrieved correctly. From this research, it is known that in Japan's Western classical music evolving through education that every school music lessons into the curriculum of education and have sufficient facilities, then through the mass media such as television show featuring music concerts of the Orchestra, the radio plays classical songs, and there is also a special magazine about Western classical music and there is a new type of music called J-Classic.
