  • Development of the manufacturing industry in Indonesia is begin to increase rapidly. One of machines used in the manufacturing industry is CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine. CNC machine which has been integrated with a computer known as PC-Based CNC. In the planning of machining process, an operator CNC machine must determine the cutting parameters that will be used during machining process. The cutting parameters consist of spindle speed, depth of cut, and feed rate. This experiment was conducted to determine the effect of cutting parameters variations against the vibration of the HERCUS V300 CNC MILL which is PCBased CNC machine. The value of cutting parameters variations used in experiment has been determined, such as depth of cut 0,1 mm, 0,2 mm, and 0,3 mm, feed rate are 80 m/min, 180 m/min, and 280 m/min, and also spindle speed are 1500 rpm, 1750 rpm, and 2000 rpm. Cutting parameters have varied each other for the machining process using 10 mm tool diameter. This experiment use full factorial method to get variation of cutting parameters. Results of the research data graphically shows that the larger feed rate and depth of cut will result in greater vibration. The addition of spindle speed causes additional vibration insignificant value. The value of vibration shown in acceleration (m/s2), velocity (mm/s), and displacement (Î1⁄4m). The greater depth of cut, feed rate, and spindle speed the greater acceleration, velocity and displacement of mini PC-Based CNC.
