  • In human resources management, organizational commitment is claimed to have important roles. The possession of it in employees is believed to be able to lead them to job satisfaction, higher productivity, and more contentment & loyalty at work. Accordingly, every organization applies certain HR policies that can enhance their employeesâ�� commitment. In accordance with several theories and previous researches, one of HR policies that is believed to have correlation with organizational commitment is (perceived) compensation, either as merely pay or more complete package that maintains employeesâ�� wellbeing. Based on the aforementioned backgrounds, this study aims at reexamining the correlation between compensation and organizational commitment. Compensation is constructed as perceived material compensation, perceived social compensation, and perceived activity compensation (Leibunon and Weinstein: 1993)
