- The research has been carried out in order to 1) determine the effects of soil tillage and dung applications to the growth and seed yield of black soybean and 2) determine the optimal dose of dung to improve the seed quantity and quality of black soybean on each tillage technique. The research was arranged in Split Plot Design with three blocks as replications. The main plots were soil tillage, namely without and with soil tillage. The subplots were dose of dung, namely 0, 5 and 10 ton/ha. Observations were done on several variables of growth, yield and seed yield quality of black soybean. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at 5% levels, and continued with Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that black soybean treated with soil tillage has the similar growth rate, yield and seed yield quality when compared to black soybean without soil tillage. Black soybean applied with dung has the similar growth rate, yield and seed yield quality when compared to black soybean that does not apply with dung.
