- The purpose of this research was to identify the innovation process of coconut fiber waste, found out the level of community response to the innovation and the influencing factors of it that used The basic method was descriptive analytic with survey technique. The selection of hamlet sampling of and household group have been choosen purposively with consideration that the implementation of manufacturing cocopillow took place in Sungapan XIV, Tirtorahayu Village, Galur Sub-District, Kulon Progo District. This study used simple random sampling. From household group was taken 15 respondents consisting of 5 respondents that took the training and 10 respondents that didn�t take the training. The result showed that the community response to processing of coconut fiber waste to make �cocopillow� innovation were high. Factors that positively influenced to this innovation were motivation, perception, and training. While age, level of education, distance, and job did not influence. Whereas, part of training that positively influenced to the community response were activeness of the respondent in the training and the type of training activities. The role of trainer and the training media have no significant effect.
