  • Atlas is one way of presenting data more attractive and efficient. Atlas not only contains the maps are continuous with each other, but also be filled with a narrative to be conveyed by the creator. Rural Tourism Atlases of Bantul consists of two types of conventional atlases and electronic atlases. The method used in the preparation of the atlas is a survey method with sampling for collection data and analysis data used qualitative method. The achievement data by survey is plotting GPS points, observing the condition of the area, interviews and questionnaires. Plotting GPS is used to determine the position of the tourist village, observing the condition of the field and the area produces photo descriptive information, interviews produce a description of the area, and questionnaire design produces the desired symbol by users atlas. Once the atlas is completed, an evaluation conducted by distributing questionnaires to the same respondents to determine the atlas that is preferred by the user. Data presentation tourist village in Bantul district in the form of conventional and electronic atlas was used to publicize the tourism objects contained in the tourist villages in Bantul regency using A3 paper to conventional atlas and CD for electronic atlas as a distribution medium. Conclusion of making a conventional atlas atlas is a tourist village in Bantul regency much more preferred by users than the electronic atlas Bantul district, because it is easy to carry and easy to use.
