- This research aims to determine the contribution of sector and subsectors of agricultural to GDRP of Central Java, determinant factors of agricultural sector growth, the agricultural sector's contribution to employment, and the contribution of the agricultural sector to the inter-regional income distribution. Divided into two research periods, those before and after the implementation of regional autonomy. Analysis tools that used for this research are Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), Shift-Share Analysis, Linear Trend, and Williamson Index. The results showed that the agricultural sector is the base sector on both period of the research. However, the contribution of the agricultural sector as a base sector since decentralization is decreased compared to before the of regional autonomy that is characterized by impairment of LQ. Research on agricultural subsector level indicates that the food crop subsector, plantation subsector, and livestock subsector are the base subsector, while the forestry subsector and fishery subsectors served as a non base before the of regional autonomy. After the of regional autonomy, only food crops subsector and livestock subsector that have a role as a base subsector. Economic activity at the nation level is the most dominant factor affecting the growth of the sector/subsector of agricultural in the Province of Central Java in the both period of the research. Influence economic activity at the nation level to the agricultural sector since decentralization is higher than before the of regional autonomy. The agricultural sector contribution to employment in Central Java Province experienced a downward trend in the both period of the research. The agricultural sector contributes to the distribution of income between regions in Central Java Province in the both period of the research, but its contribution since decentralization is lower than before the of regional autonomy.
